Can A Motorboat Cross The Ocean

MY OFFICE

After the rains of this winter, I came to my office and found a large water stains on the wall and even chipped in the ceiling, much water and as old facilities are an explosive mixture.

Then I started to recall all the places where he had been working all my offices, classrooms, shared, alone, different groups of comrades s, ...

A hour characters as "economically fashion" as Merkel and Sarkozy will not stop naming the word and encourage us to be more productive in our jobs. How do you think our work environment affects our productivity?

is proven that the work environment influences not only the productivist d, but also how a worker feels in their working environment, these areas also to work or even live, can promote or hinder specific behaviors.

How do you think several factors as color, light, noise, space, if there are natural elements, the personalization of place ...?

Empirical studies show that it works best with natural light , although they normally use white light, people are more effective by working with light yellow or amber. I must say that I have now better lit the office of the building where I work from 9 in the morning I get a little sun for the window that keeps me warm the room all day.

About lack of privacy, it often happens that the leaders have their private space and the other workers shared open spaces with little privacy, but in my case I become a privileged I have my little office spacious with private bathroom, my table, cabinets, chairs and even an armchair that "recycling" of another place where I usually take minisiestas very restorative. When workers are crammed into little space, generate discomfort, irritation and there is more likelihood of conflict between them and even bosses and superiors. I still remember, many years, a few months I spent working in a shared office space Granada where 6 people, 5 girls and me ... if that lasts a few months living together, I swear that just as the dawn rosary!

As you know, lately I'm quite interested in how to improve our immediate environment to make them more livable, functional, sustainable, ... and certainly one of the closest is our work, where we spend much of our life, for that environmental psychology has interesting tools: If you want to transform an environment is important to make a planning as participatory as possible, would it be logical to remodel an office with no say in who will work there? Following the execution of the project that we have no "use that instead on a daily basis" and finally, environmental psychologists, we would bring out an assessment postocupación , when a site has been completed or converted, it is important to evaluate their performance because it lets you know whether it met the objectives for improvement.

I started remembering the humidity of my office and I ended up with a whole dissertation on the application of environmental psychology to work settings, ugh ... how I roll it up, but when something you love, you hardly realize! So I recommend to everyone that, as would a good friend of mine, "customize" your work, I started a long time and is like my creative sanctuary in it I have personal photos, postcards of places known motivational phrases , a clown nose, a scarf of the boat, ... somewhat eccentric, I know, but it's my corner.

And finally I leave a "Trivial question" Who do you think better supports unfavorable conditions at work, men or women?

The solution in a few days ... in your favorite blog!
