Mammals Vs Reptiles Oxygen

THERE!

The other day I arrived in my mail a cortita cartoon, funny and very essence of which I could not avoid taking moral. He talked about environmental education in this space, how we act to change attitudes but mostly to encourage environmentally friendly behavior and for this the only solution is to take a small step further, leaving the traditional methods in environmental education and innovation. Will agree with me that if we are doing something and not stop working, it is necessary to give a twist and do things differently.

Here you have the little story:
In a secondary school (IES) of a certain city, the students had acquired the bad habit of kissing the mirrors printed with marks of lipstick.
All morning, the bathroom mirrors of the women would wake up full of "kisses" red.
The director issued a statement asking all students to refrain from printing kisses in the mirrors because they reloaded the work of cleaning staff.
as if nothing ... The mirrors still appear filled with lipstick marks.
the end, the director with the largest number of students that might come at the same time in the ladies room, and told them I wanted to show how difficult it was for cleaning staff to remove those marks all day. He asked the cleaning lady to proceed with the task.
The cleaning lady took a dry cloth, and instead of using a glass cleaner product, dipped several times in a toilet, I slipped and proceeded to remove the brands one by one. Every little wet cloth again in another toilet, it was still there and twisted cleaning up all the mirrors were completely brilliant.
never appeared more lip marks on the mirrors from high school.

Moral: There are "masters" and "educators."

Most times, we just try to teach but are very few who besides that ... EDUCATE!

SIMPLICITY TO OPTIMISM! ATTITUDES AND BEHAVIORS proambiental

was pretty while not talking about books, I think the last time was when I introduced the discovery of "SERENDIPITY" , de Guzman Lopez. I loved it and so I recommended, and I hope that anyone who dared to read it as I have enjoyed.

Well, as you may have guessed I have continued to consume books, by the way, I would like to take this opportunity to thank a person who instilled in me a love of books and passion for reading, going for you, Rosie! Well go to the point ... I just finished the second part of a book that hooked me a couple of years and as I suspected not disappoint me.

Does it sound "A lemon" ? Surely you've heard of this wonderful book by Chris Stewart , if you do not sound battery say it was early in the group Genesis and after traveling through the world and have a more or less comfortable in England decided to leave everything, buy a farmhouse crumbling in as deep in the Alpujarras and Granada with his wife Ana, start a new life, different, simple and colorful.

What you want to tell you, I think a beautiful story and best of all, "real" and accessible to everybody, Chris keeps us throughout the saga with a smile on your face, that does not go to adversity and hardship that have continued to spend up to make "the bold" , as it is called the farmhouse, a cozy living and full of olives, almonds, lemons, sheep, ...
In his second installment "THE PARROT IN THE LEMON" I continued laughing and envying this inveterate optimist who one day decided to slow its breakneck pace of life and start enjoying the importance of small things like a simple sunset, the sound of the stream to pass, a glass of local wine with their neighbors and hundreds of prints alpujarreñas more.

Who said it was not possible to decrease?
Can you get back to simple?

I remain convinced that and invite SI @ sl @ s tod @ sa incredulous dive into this wonderful story to check.

How Much Are Earrings Worth

few days ago I had an exchange of ideas about a topic that came up on the blog a few months ago, the importance of having the attitudes for the environment.
Do you remember the controversy between attitudes and behavior? It opened a heated debate on whether pro-environmental attitudes could predict the way we behaved, what was the relationship between what we were and what we were doing and even whether to change our behavior was first necessary to change our hearts and thoughts.

Well, this week reopened the debate over several tweets with responsible environmental Alma Natura, an Andalusian company has received the "Eco-Responsible Company 2010" last week, if you can have a look at your work, you know that I love mixtures and these people make their living mixing concepts such as environment, innovation, art, creativity, culture, ...

The discussion was about whether people's attitudes made us understand their environmental behaviors as the most faithful readers will recall, the entry entitled " DAMN HYPOCRITES! " trying to make it clear that One thing is the attitude that people have said about environmental issues and a very different behavior that this person had.

Following different authors as Festinger and Allan Wicker was impossible demonstrate that changing people's attitudes, we change with it the way they act, rather the relationship was the opposite:
OUR BEHAVIOR IS SHOOTING HORSE CARRIAGE OF OUR ATTITUDES.

There are numerous theories that explain this relationship CONDUCT - ATTITUDE agobiaros but I will not make this post too much or too dense, so just give an advance to l @ s who want to go a little investigating.
The two main currents that explain why our actions affect our attitudes really are:
  1. cognitive dissonance theory (Festinger)
  2. self-perception theory (Daryl Bem)
As usual, the debate remains open ... What do you think about pro-environmental attitudes and behaviors? I promise to delve further into the following post.
