Pues bien, un buen día, al ayuntamiento de Sevilla, Cajasol (Putting the pulp) and Caesar, they come up with the brilliant idea of creating a building in the middle of Isla de la Cartuja de 178 m. high. Here you have a pic of what would be the mastodon.
And I ask myself ... do not sound to any of the skyscrapers that exist in thousands of cities around the world? Will it change the building's architectural history in Seville? Actually I was a couple of years visiting Benidorm and found a few buildings of this style and I assure you that I seemed "nice."
Clearly the project is fraught with controversy, interest financial and political face other values such as historic preservation, aesthetics unique in a city like Seville, ...
Although I think sometimes we behave like a herd of docile sheep, in this case if there is a strong public response against the project and the voices of the street has recently joined an organization of considerable weight and UNESCO, which has commissioned reports on the impact it would have the tower in Seville monuments declared World Heritage (Cathedral, Alcázar and Archivo de Indias) and issued its conclusions in urging the council to reconsider the project and construction work stopped.
And in these still, remember what I raised in the previous post: do you like your cities? When I encouraged transform and model them I was not referring to things like leaving a Sevilla like this ...
